General Packet Radio Service (GPRS)
TECORE has furthered the flexibility of the AirCore system by providing
an integrated GPRS solution. The AirCore system is capable of providing
the Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN) and Gateway GPRS Support Node
(GGSN) functionality, as well as the interface to the packet network,
while simultaneously supporting existing circuit switched traffic.
In addition to the GSN nodes, the AirCore HLR also provides the
GPRS Register functionality for packet subscribers. The AirCore
system can also be configured as stand alone SGSN and GGSN nodes
to be integrated into existing circuit switched networks for a cost
effective GPRS solution. The TECORE GPRS solution enables you to
introduce packet data into your networks while minimizing the impact
to the existing network infrastructure. GPRS provides the groundwork
for future evolution to the Third Generation networks and TECORE
has simplified the transition for you.
