Names Harsham to V.P. of Operations Position
Company To Streamline Operations
and Improve Efficiency
COLUMBIA, MD - September 7, 1999 -
TECORE announced today that Steve Harsham has joined the company
as vice president of operations. In this position, Harsham will
be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the companys
customer support, engineering and production activities.
"Steves extensive background in the telecommunications
industry and in managing development organizations will allow us
to put the necessary processes in place to streamline our operations,"
said Jay Salkini, TECORE president and CEO. "The end result
will make TECORE more efficient in meeting the needs of our customers."
With more than 13 years of experience managing various engineering
groups and projects, Harsham has spent the majority of his career
at Siemens and Nortel Networks. While managing the wireless systems
engineering group at Siemens, he worked closely with customers to
oversee the industry standardization and feature definition activities
for GSM and 3G switching subsystem products in the U.S. market.
Prior to that, he managed the wireless development group, which
was responsible for the GSM-1900 and CDMA switching subsystem product
lines.
Harsham also spent eight years at Nortel where he oversaw the engineering
group that developed the intersystem messaging and call processing
functions on the DMS-MTX wireless switching platform. In addition,
he was also involved in the design, implementation and testing of
custom call processing features for the inter-exchange market on
the DMS-250 platform.
He holds dual bachelors of science degrees in computer engineering
and in mathematics from Tulane University.
